The Cane Corso is a rare breed Mastiff originating in Italy. The Cane Corso is a direct descendent of the ancient war dogs or "Mollosus". More recently bred for it's ability as a guardian of farm and family environments, the Cane Corso is not dog aggressive. The Cane Corso is an exceptionally quick dog for it's size and is possibly the only coursing Mastiff still in existence. The Cane Corso travels with great ease of movement and is farm from a lumbering Mastiff.

The Cane Corso's temperament is a is a combination of calm and stable while being protective and somewhat suspicious. A dignified natural protector, this breed will search for something to protect if not given a task. They immediately bond with children in the household, selecting them as their task and following them everywhere. A loving pet and family guardian, the Cane Corso can make a wonderful addition to the correct household.

In fact the dog was not a fighting breed, but it served many purposes including herding, wild game hunting, and guarding farmers from bandits (mafias) as they traveled to and from their fields. This breed requires obedience training and responds well to intelligent  trainers. Medium Rare Cane Corso specializes in socializing our dogs before you take them home.
